Email
Brian Foy speaks much wisdom:
All you can do is state your position and then be quiet. If anyone cares, they will read it.
Restating the position doesn't help: if they didn't care before, they still won't care.
Any back-and-forth beyond 2 messages each is probably unproductive.
Hardly anyone changes their opinions based on email, no matter how well reasoned.
If you find yourself talking to your friends about email flamewars you were in, you're taking the computer too seriously.
Just don't waste your time with it. The real world is more fun.
