Cost of camping is included with the MOUNT.BOB registration fee.
The campground can accomodate both tents and RVs. We will have a number of tents that were purchased for HOTT.BOB for use by any campers who don't have their own tent. There are 44 parking spaces, 14 picnic tables with barbecues, one large central firepit, and four pit toilets.
We highly encourage you to stay at the campground! After all, it's hard for us all to spend time together as a group, if half of us are sitting in hotel rooms watching TV somewhere.
The following two hotels are recommended for proximity to the site and low cost. These aren't four-star resorts, but they should do the job. We recommend that if you are going to need a hotel room, reserve early!
- Lofthouse Inn, P. O. Box 67, Woodland Park, CO 80866, (719) 687-9187. Fax (719) 687-8959. Single room: $58, One-bedroom suite (with kitchen) $71.50, Two-bedroom suite $91.50. (One room has been rented here for general BOB purposes: camper showers, recharging laptop batteries, first aid station, etc.)
- Grandview Motel, 411 E. Hwy 24, (719) 687-2444. ~$48/night for two people. This hotel is full. HOWEVER, i have one room reserved that currently is not going to be used. If you want the reservation, send e-mail to jenine@lamar.colostate.edu IMMEDIATELY.
- All hotels full and you need a room? send e-mail to jenine and she'll either give you some phone numbers of more places to try in Woodland Park, or figure out an alternative. (Like harrassing you into camping.)
