Basically, there is way too much to do in this area. Plan to Not Be Bored at any time. If you think the following list is complete or unchanging, you are WRONG WRONG WRONG, boy-o.

Mountain Biking and Hiking.
Apparently, there is a bike trail (the Centennial) leading right out of the campground. HOW CONVENIENT. (Insert photo of jenine gleefully rubbing her hands together and laughing BWAHAHAHAHA here.) Maps and suggested hikes and rides will be posted as we go.
Golf. The Fujiki Golf Course and Country Club is less than a mile from the BOB site. if you'd like to shoot a round, send e-mail to gnat@frii.com
Whitewater rafting
Pikes Peak.
An expedition to ride the train to the top (or just drive) will be organized for those who want to avoid Death Ride II at all costs. How many times do you get a chance to breathe the air (what there is of it) at 14,000 feet?
Garden of the Gods.
Very scenic, very beautiful. This trip will probably be combined with the Pikes Peak train ride trip.
Protests at the headquarters of Colorado For Family Values, home of the infamous Amendment 2.
Florrisant Fossil Beds National Monument.
Nature trails and short hikes abound. Learn about the ring of extinct volcanoes and see stumps of petrified trees.
Shopping
Nearby Woodland Park and Manitou Springs both provide plenty of options for separating you from your hard earned cash.

Cripple Creek
Speaking of separating you from your hard earned cash, there's gambling to be done on a day trip to the famous tourist town of Cripple Creek Colorado.

The Nikola Tesla Museum of Science and Industry. No, really. We need to go see this.
Manitou Cliff Dwellings.
"Native American dance performances during the months of June, July and August/ Set above the delightful Victorian town of Manitou Springs, the Cliff Dwellings Museum has been open to the public since 1907. Explore the dwellings room by room. You will encounter more than 40 rooms on your self-guided tour, including a ceremonial Kiva, a lookout tower and sleeping quarters.
